Well there's 3 problems with that:

(1.) If the economy bounces back then there's no ammo.  And even if it
doesn't you'll have a Bush-created-too-big-of-a-mess thing.

(2.) Who are the Republicans?  They're the party that fecked America
and now they're the party of 'no' with ideas that are "insane".

(3.) Even without #1 or #2, who's the leader?  Palin?  No way, she's a
moron no matter how much she studies.  Too much baggage.  Gingrich?
Thoughtful guy, fact-driven methodical approach, but lots of baggage.
Pawlenty?  I love 'im, but he's a wet noodle.  Romney?  He's about the
only guy that can do it, IMO.  He's got the management skills, smarts,
and moderate background w/ a decent amount of risk taking.  But he's
got some baggage too.

I'd love to see a moderate Romney with good ideas and no compromise to
the evangelicals.  But then is there a base?
