The elections today are shams, secret ballot or no. Would it be a fair election if only Democrats were allowed to advertise on TV? What if we mailed a list of all registered Republicans out and told everyone that the company would fire its workforce and ship everything overseas if you talked to those Republicans?
I really like the idea of a secret ballot which is why I'm not 100% sold of EFCA. But a secret ballot doesn't guarantee a fair election and it doesn't mean that elections aren't rigged. If you come to me with a proposal to honestly level the playing field in union elections with a secret ballot then I will believe that you genuinely are concerned about the integrity of the system. Until then I"m going to have to believe it is a partisan hack job using a despicable smoke screen as that's all I've heard out of the talking heads on Fox.
