So, my younger son is in the hospital - he has had vomiting/diarrhea since Sunday and the doctor thinks its some kind of virus...but...
Sometimes I wonder how anyone makes it out of a hospital alive. My wife is a nurse, and we have had big issues with poor patient care before (she almost died..twice), so she is like a hawk whenever any of us gets sick. This morning, my son started to get nauseous again so my wife asked for fenegrin, an anti-emetic medicine, which was ordered for when he got nauseous. It took about 30 minutes for him to get it because the nurse did not know how to administer the medicine. If my wife was not there to talk her through it, who knows how long it would have taken. Sadly, I hear stories like this, and worse - like Deny's recent issues - far too often. We have an advantage since we both have medical backgrounds, but I feel sorry for anyone who doesn't know what is (or is not) happening when they go to the hospital. </rant> -- Scott Stroz --------------- The democracy will cease to exist when you take away from those who are willing to work and give to those who would not. - Thomas Jefferson http://xkcd.com/386/ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Adobe® ColdFusion® 8 software 8 is the most important and dramatic release to date Get the Free Trial http://ad.doubleclick.net/clk;207172674;29440083;f Archive: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/cf-community/message.cfm/messageid:293342 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/cf-community/subscribe.cfm Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=89.70.5
