The idea of putting all the sick people in one place may not have been
such a good one.

I hear there's a return to the "home visit" type stuff happening,
which I like, but man do we need some system-wide reform.

My mother-in-law is a nurse for the VA, it's a real boon to know
someone in the field, as it were. Maybe this social networking stuff
will eventually help people connect with other people who have
Knowledge, for those not fortunate to have, um, advocates, as it were.
Also some measure of "this person is good, this person sucks" type
deal, perhaps, tho subjectivity is a PITA.

I learned how to be a tech pretty quick. Taking blood pressure,
watching fluid levels, heart rate, oxygen, etc.. I tried to help out
as much as I could. Practice makes perfect, neh?

Straight up. I think the main problem is similar to other problems we
face. It's not that cops suck, or teachers suck, or health care
people suck; so much as it's the system itself which breeds suckyness,
and crushes non-suckyness. I'm sorry if I've made it seem like it's
the people's fault themselves.

Eh. Force be with you, mate. We're pulling for yer boy.
