Big thing to remember about wireless is that the security sucks. You'll need
to go into your setup and make sure that full network security is on
including encryption. Unless of course you don't mind anyone within range
using your Cable/DSL/T-1 line for internet access.

the Washington Post ran a good article on sharing 802.11b connections. One
guy discussed in the article got a t-1 line into his house and then sighed
up a bunch of neighbours at $50 a month to pay for it. He used a wireless
setup like you've been discussing.

done right this is a very cheap way to get a free t-1 line. I think I may be
talking with our HOA about this next meeting.
