I really like the idea of breaking down the House to have a far more representative level of Representative - e.g. the 30,000:1 ratio that we had when the US was founded. But that still leaves the Senate and the Presidency, which clearly has become a job for an entire team of people rather than one person. >From a Senate point of view, it makes far more sense for a big state like New York, Texas or California to break up into two or three smaller states and so have more overall votes in the Senate, votes that could represent different regions better. I don't know if that's a good idea or a bad idea, but I believe the place we are now with representation at the federal level is totally different than the place we started in 1791. Practically, I think it would be near impossible to break up bigger states, or even change the House to make it more directly representative of individual localities, but I don't know. People are sick of the federal government not listening. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Adobe® ColdFusion® 8 software 8 is the most important and dramatic release to date Get the Free Trial http://ad.doubleclick.net/clk;207172674;29440083;f Archive: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/cf-community/message.cfm/messageid:296198 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/cf-community/subscribe.cfm Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=11502.10531.5
