Interestingly enough, single payer folks aren't actually invited to the summit. Curious that. All things considered, I probably favor a public option (ala Medicare) for individual coverage along with a private insurance industry that gets to compete as well. That is a weaker version of single payer than some support. It is substantially strong than the health insurance industry supports. And once again, I do not give a shit about what the insurance industry wants. We owe them nothing. The goal is to provide affordable, reasonable health care to all Americans. Period. If you have some proposals that you'd like to pimp that meet those goals, some research that suggests that other proposals don't meet those goals, then great. If not, then I'd suggest toning down your rhetoric as it is baseless and unhelpful on an issue that serious people need to actual debate.
