As someone who has been on a low carb diet for years to stave off diabetes,
I just want to point out to you that its okay to eat vegetables, just keep
away from the starchy ones or the ones containing sugars.  (Potatoes and
beets are off limits for me).  Do eat plenty of green leafy vegetables and
others.
