I am not bleedsing anything!
And I am not making stuff up either!

One of the shows was about a family that went after the airlines
because a cargo door had blown open during flight, and their son had
been sucked out of the airplane.
Their investigation showed that the airline knew about the problem
with the Cargo doors, and it had not been fixed because of economic
reasons.

I'm saying that there are other safety measures that we're denied
because they are not cost effective.

Now it can be debated whether this is just the way of the world (I
would say it's the way our world is now because it's how we want it to
be)
or whether there's something wrong with that.

As for cars, Competition is what advanced safety in cars. Safety
measures such as Passenger side airbags, side impact airbags etc.
could have been implemented long ago, but it only became cost
effective when lots of other companies were in a position to offer the
technology and it became a differentiating factor, a marketing factor.

To look at it another way, Intel could bring out the next i7 chip 5
months early but won't because they feel there is no direct
competition from AMD to cause them to bring it to market sooner.

It's the same principles, and that's where my problem is.
Where human life is concerned there should be different principles.
