California Grits

4 cups of boiling water
1 cup dry grits  (not instant)
1 Tablespoon Garlic Powder or one crushed garlic clove
1 Tablespoon Paprika
1/2 cup grated smoked Gouda Cheese
1/2 cup grated Chedder or Pepper Jack Cheese

Add grits to boiling water, cook over low heat for  5-6 minutes
Add spices and cheese
Stir until well mixed
Salt and pepper to taste.

Serve with eggs and toast (or your choice of bread)
