If I want to work untethered (which I often do), I can. battery, cell card, total dev freedom.
And if I need my 4 monitor setup, i set it in my docking bay, and have the monitors, external keyboard and mouse on my desk. the price difference is not so much, the feature and performance is more than adequate, and there are no needs I have that a desktop would add that my laptop does not.
