So Dana, your post bounced back into my head and on a whim I just looked up commodity on Wikipedia. Interestingly it defines commodity as this: "Commoditization occurs as a goods or services market loses differentiation across its supply base, often by the diffusion of the intellectual capital necessary to acquire or produce it efficiently." Surgery, it could easily be argued is therefore a commodity: the intellectual capital necessary to provide the service is diffuse, in many cases on the internet. But then I remembered! This question was asked during the presidential debates!! Q: Do you believe health care should be treated as a commodity? OBAMA: blah, blah, blah, boo hoo, sob story, *** I think it should be a right *** MCCAIN: blah, blah, blah, small business, government sucks, *** I think itÂ’s a responsibility *** Now this is pretty interesting because the question was do you think it's a commodity and instead we got "right" and "responsibility" My answer? It's all three ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Want to reach the ColdFusion community with something they want?
