it's a heck of a lot more dangerous than Albuquerque, I'l tell you that, and
definitely more so than upstate New York. But if he grew up there he knows
where not to go, well enough anyway, so there is no need to argue further
with a closed mind about it.

That incident at Howard U last year was probably just my overworked
imagination too. That conciege definitely did not insist on calling me and
Judith a cab when we had to go to the all-night pharmacy. Thomas Circle did
not scare the heck out of Judith. That cab driver did *not* refuse to wait
there. That one guy was not demanding money from us :) It's all fluffy
bunnies, sweetness and light, and utter safety ;)

The thing that bgs me the most about this converation is that people put me
in the same category as you.
