If this same message had appeared under Bush (or Clinton or Bush or Reagan), I would not have minded, because it is an attempt to correct untruths or misstatements, by learning of them early, and studying the mechanisms of their spread.
Which I do think is part of the gubberments responsibility. What they DO with the information is how I will judge them. (If they use the lists to blacklist people, or prevent people from entering town hall meetings, then I will start bitching loudly (again)).
