Pay attention here? Don't you dare - will make the rest of us look bad.

I had a long email exchange with a relative that has been sending me all the
Republican screeds over the last few weeks.

I called him out on a few obvious untruths, including quotes from people who
never said it, and snopes listings from years ago with the same untrue
quotes, and he basically admitted that he knew they were lies, but
considered it fair game.

I asked if he had discussed these purposeful lies with his wife or with his
pastor, and he got angry. Said that these didn't count, because they were
just politics.

I just don't get that attitude.

I truly believe these lies, and the purposeful hate behind them, is
destroying the fabric of this country, and I cannot get him to see that.
