I have a Haro Del Sol SPF 24. It's basicly a decent 24 speed off road bike.
I live out in a rural areas and there are usually gravels scattered on the
roads, so I wanted something I could ride without busting my butt .. thin
tires and big gravels don't mix. Thin tires and pot holes don't mix either
:(

The seat has a hydrolic shock absorber and the gearing is a breeze. It
works on a trigger mechanism. You want to gear up? Just click the thumb
trigger once for each gear you want to go up. Want to gear down? Just pull
the index finger trigger. There's no pushing a lever until the chain finaly
slips to the next gear. Just click and the chain jumps to the exact sopt.
I've had the bike for almost 2 years and the chain hasn't slipped once.

It doesn't fold, but if i pop the front wheel off, it will fit in the back
seat of my Honda Civic.

It's a pretty nice bike. I'm happy with it.

Here's a pic of the 6 speed version:

I got my 24 speed for about $300. You can probably get them cheaper now.
The fewer the gears, the cheaper they are as well.
