But it's not the doctors I'm "railing" against.  It's the ignorant.

For example, what do you think is fair pay for "a doctor"?  Oops!

I suppose your answer would be: "whatever my government bureaucrats
say they're worth because my government knows best.  Government run
industry just works.  I know based on my no experience working in
healthcare, business, or finance."

So, ok, I agree you're the wrong guy to talk to about this - fair enough.

But let me put it this way: if the US government wants to cut
healthcare costs - and doctors are willing to work for a smile and a
sunny day - why doesn't the US gov't just cut all doctor pay to, say,
$100k/yr?

The answer is, of course, because doctors are outrageously greedy.

As are all companies that make a profit in healthcare: labs, clinics,
hospitals, software, medical equip.

And the answer is that we don't owe any of those companies a profit.

So if government is going to mess with the market do it once and do it right.

But start with those greedy doctors.

We don't owe them a profit.
