That is a fascinating bit of prognostication. Current Senate shows Democrats with a 58-40 edge with 2 independents caucusing with the D's. D's have two Senators not running for their seat and R's have 6. D's have 16 sitting going for reelection and R's have 12. Would you care to tell me in what way the Republican's are going to take the Senate? Democrats hold 257 seats in the House to 178 for Republicans. I expect the Democrats to lose some seats this go around after impressive gains the last two cycles. But loosing both houses? I'd be surprised if they lost one, though there is historical precedent and lord knows that Democrats can snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. I'd be curious about your political calculus Sam. Alas, I fear it is more piss ant partisan blustering. But if you have a real path to victory and the majority for Republicans, I'd love to hear it.
