Rock Band and drumming is kind of a special case since in the game you are doing most of what you would be doing with the real instrument in a real band. If they had something for guitar and bass that matched up as well as the drums do, I'd feel differently about it. But the guitar in Rock Band/Guitar Hero just isn't really an instrument.
