Based on your description I'm not entirely clear on how you are setup,
but I have long been a proponent of doing all development locally on
your desktop/laptop.  CF Server running locally, Webserver running
locally, IDE running locally.  Much easier, more portable, less moving
parts.

...and no network issues opening files...
