Kind of like we are now. SF found Saddam but the 4th ID gets the credit. But then again, SOG guys are not glory hounds anyway. They prefer a certain degree of anonymity. As far as being an overweight medic, yeah, I have to agree. My platoon would not have that. Medics have to be in as good or better shape than the grunts since they carry around that heavy ass bag in addition to full kit like us. Reminds me, you should see the super fat ass grunts we got in my platoon now (they PCS'd, old unit thought it was easier to send them away than chapter them). Easily 40-60 lbs overweight. What is the Army coming to? Good thing we can still chapter them out. We do have one fat ass though that has a LOT of heart and will be a good joe if he can lose the weight. And don't even get me started on PT standards. I am 46 and can pass the 17-21 age group, but the kids in that age group can barely pass their own test, hahaha.
