And all of that I'm ok with. I know it's a U.S. based forum. And I'm not
looking to paint all U.S. forces with the same brush. But what we have here
is IMO a massive failure on a mission that's intent was, according to the
media, to protect Iraqi civilians. We've got troops that knew what the ROE
was, which is why they lied very specifically to get permission to fire.

Here's the thing. The U.S. media hardly ever shows this kind of stuff. The
U.S. public for the most part can ignore the atrocities of this war. It's
never really shoved in their faces. However Iraqi's are seeing this stuff
every single day. These types of instances are what galvanizes a people
against the U.S. And for the general public to just ignore it only compounds
the problem. People need to watch this stuff to realize what consequences
arise from sitting in an arm chair supporting a war effort. War is a
dreadful business and the U.S. media just ignores it because it's not
pleasant and it's not entertainment.
