Putting ones head in the sand never accomplished anything except for
creating a nice target...

I think it is a shame.  People need to be aware of what is going on and take
an active role.  Democracy is not a spectator sport.  We have gotten
ourselves in the situation we are in because we have been sitting on the
sidelines.

People don't want to know about such tragedies, it raises so many
moral and ethical questions ...
