I have a friend of mine...a GOOD friend.....a programmer with a masters degree....who is a Creationist. He's a fascinating study. A guy who's incredibly smart...normal in all aspects....who simply will not allow himself to accept facts as they pertain to evolution. It's such a strange thing to see someone consume facts and develop opinions so proficiently on every subject....except for one. We've had discussions about it from time to time, but when my facts became too much one time, he politely asked that we drop the subject "in the name of our friendship". That drove home for me too points: 1) just how delusional and permanent and important these things can become and 2) you can be a perfectly reasonable and wonderful person, and still allow yourself areas of voluntary ignorance or self delusion....or just plain old "faith". -- Everybody knows the war is over Everybody knows the good guys lost ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Want to reach the ColdFusion community with something they want?
