Once again, I do not think you should be allowed to get a driver's license in the US if you are not a citizen or legal resident. If your Canadian license expires while you are here, tough shit - go back to Canada and get a new one. It is your responsibility to make sure your driver's license is up to date. My license was due to expire when I was in Scotland, so I made sure to renew it before we left. I know, its that whole common sense thing getting in the way again.
