Today has been a rough day. This morning, my dad decided that he no longer wanted to receive chemo. I think he has been able to accept what I have known for quite some time - he is dying and there is nothing that can be done to help him.
Ironically, since he made te decision this morning he looks different, almost like he is relieved. We were able to contact the hospice program at the local hospital and someone will be coming out tomorrow at 10:00 AM. As much as it sucks that he had to made this decision, I feel that he made the right one. I only hope that he does not have to go through a lot of suffering from this point on.
