Yeah, those people get hid too. Can't stand it.

When looking at your feed, if you hover over the upper right corner of a
post, a little "HIDE" button comes into view. Click it and it will
re-confirm your option to hide that person's updates. You remain friends,
and can see their page whenever you want, it just stays out of your feed.

This is also useful to hide all those game and quiz apps that you might not
want to see. :)

As an aside: I do care about my friend's feelings and bad days, but I will
approach them privately and make sure they don't need anything or want to
talk, or perhaps cheer them up a bit.

You don't have to be callous when trimming your inner circle. :)
