The reason it will never catch on in the US is because the US generally has too short of an attention span. That's why they like US football. Lots of meat headed adrenaline (with protective gear suitable for military conflict) and you only have to pay attention for like 20 seconds then they blow the whistle and you get around 5 minutes to rest your weary brain.
