That was my point ****Again...at least the dems are trying to do something to help the people. How is blocking votes to extend needed unemployment benefits doing the work of the people? How is blocking needed updates to veterans benefits beneficial? If you look at previous Congresses, you will find that the dems are more willing to compromise and generally don't vote no when they come to a compromise. The only time there is a no vote across the board is when the republicans just push their agenda (which they are more likely to do when they are in charge instead of trying for a consensus) The republicans on the other hand vote no even when they come to a compromise. They have been brought in and dems have been compromising to the point where the stuff that ended up getting pushed through was extremely watered down and no where near what needed to get done in a n effort to bring the party of no into the fold.
