In more than a word?

Yes you do. But - it does have it's place. Whilst it CAN replace a
traditionally developed site in many instance because it's a full fledged
CMS-type of system, there's still places it can be improved or for us it
might lack.

PHP is not known for being the most locked down tight secure code base, but
Wordpress is pretty good. Lots of big fixes, and a huge HUGE base of
programmers keeping it tight.

It's got TONS of great SEO features. TONS. I mean I just drool over the SEO
and social interaction features of it alone.

I use it in combination. I will put up a "normal" site in my CMS. Then on
another domain (which is MY preference) I will put up a Wordpress blog
DEDICATED to promoting the content on the other site.

It's a WIN-WIN all the way around.

There's so many different uses for wordpress, it boggles the mind. :)
