Yeah...a party that was overwhelmingly elected to office, with one of the
platforms being passing healthcare reform legislation. The issue Dem voters
have with the bill is that it is too republican and mostly a gift to the
insurance companies, at the behest of the republicans in the senate and
Obama's over willingness to seem bipartisan. He gave too much and even with
all that was given, the asshats on the right still voted no. That was the
partisan politics. Now we have a watered down bill that is not as effective
as it could have been because republicans played party politics and have
been playing party politics, even voting no against measures that would have
given money to small businesses which would have spurred job growth. They
would rather we fail as a country than see Obama succeed as a president and
risk them not getting re-elected because the Dems actually did something
instead of just vote for pork barrels projects like the Bridge to Nowhere.

"Whether you agree with the content of the bill or not, and I don't, health
care legislation was voted on and passed by duly elected representatives of
the Republic. Nothing socialist about that."

Yes, it was voted on by representatives.

Interestingly enough, the representatives were not listening to their
constituents. Hence the impending turnover.

So, you have a group of leaders who are not representing their
constituents. A group of leaders who think they know better. Kind of like
a central counsel.

Maureen, it's interesting that you bash party politics but you don't
recognize that this bill had nothing to do with be representatives and
everything to do with party politics.
