"Meh, you can say it if you want. Doesn't bug me much. I know where I'm at."

I am glad you know where you are at. Means you're more aware than 50% of
the people.

"Oil companies is just kind of my catch all for evil doers. Just joking, but
kind of not really. "

A very slippery slope when you start make mass judgments. In my opinion,
it's very similar to the following:

a. Democrats are always right and Republicans are always wrong.
b. Republicans are always right and Democrats are always wrong.
c. All Muslims want to wear martyr vests on crowded buses and help infidels
meet their end.
d. All Christians want to stalk abortion doctors and abort them in the
120th trimester of their lives.

I have seen plenty of your posts, so I am confident you aren't this
extreme.

"I just don't really understand people that don't want to err on the side of
caution. "

Caution is a two way street. Would it be wise to implement cap and tax,
with its huge tax increases on everyone, including the poor, without more
concrete proof. ?

Of course, that's where the big argument exists. The cult of global warming
(or is it climate change) say we have concrete proof (the best that can be
manufactured in East Anglia). The other sides says there is not. The cult
of global warming does not want to debate. It's the old "Take my word for
it." argument. Anyone who tells me that automatically loses credibility.

"Drive an hummer and skull f**k mother nature! Woooooo Hoooooo" mentality
punches my sense of self preservation in the nuts."

I hate SUV's. Not for the eco BS, but for completely other reasons.

"I'm just paraphrasing, but to me it's pretty much the same as 'here's why
global warming is a myth.'

Global warming is not a myth. It does happen. So does Global cooling. The
question is, has man disrupted the rhythm? I haven't seen enough proof to
say he has. I have seen plenty that indicates that the advocates of
global warming have an agenda that goes far beyond protecting the earth.
