"The link Judah posted made it look like chaff, yet you've been saying it's
wheat"

How will you know without reading it yourself? And, while Judah's linked
review is from a prominent scholar, I wouldn't say he is exactly non-biased.
He has a competing view of fascism. He certainly doesn't want it weaken or
diluted (and he taught at Berkley which is a big RED flag in my book).

"Do you feel that it's truthful"

Most certainly.

"Or do you like it because it explains a viewpoint?"

How would this differ from any opinion book? State a view and give facts to
support it.

"What we talk about here -- the kinds of stuff -- is mostly entertainment...
tho a lot of folks probably don't feel entertained by what passes for
politics.  =)"

Some people take it way to seriously. When it devolves into personal
insults, it's time to step back and examine yourself.

"I know this is Jesse Jackson saying this, but it's an example of how people
try to leverage emotion for nefarious ends (tho of course the people doing
it don't think it's nefarious)."

That's why it's in my quote rotation. Not because I necessarily support the
view, I just want to showcase the hypocrisy and as you say, the attempt to
leverage emotion.
