I actually do boycott products made offshore as much as possible.
I've voted with my pocketbook for years. Even when I shop at stores
like Walmart, I look for products made in the US. Sam Walton, the
founder of Walmart, made buying US products a founding principle of
the company. Unfortunately, his heirs did not follow that tradition.

But much as with oil, it is impossible to avoid those products
totally, especially the electronics, which are necessary for me to do
my work.

One item I am adamant about only buying those made in the USA is
musical instruments. I also buy mostly local produce and meat. Of
course that one is easy considering where I live.
