I suspect that ColdFusion would not be long for this world. Or any other
product for which Microsoft has a competing product already
(Dreamweaver?). At the very least the developer edition with its built
in Apache would go away, as would the Linux version, and licensing would
become an absolute nightmare. I could see it becoming incompatible with
Apache to. As hostile towards OSS as Microsoft is and as much OSS as CF
integrates I'd be very worried about the future of ColdFusion if I
though Microsoft was going to buy Adobe. Fortunately for my piece of
mind I can't think of any reason why Adobe would be interested in such a
merger.

And I would ask that no one shatter that delusion. I'd rather not have
nightmares tonight.
