.Net is a platform, not a language. There are many languages that run on the CLR and can be used to make .Net apps including C#, F# and VB.NET MS doesn't push a single language but rather a framework and the CLR which stands for the Common Library Runtime.
Coldfusion might still be killed off, I don't know. But it is wrong to say that MS just has ASP. And they do happily push other languages like PHP. Ick, I know, but I don't think there is any reason to believe that CF would be killed off just because. None of the other languages have commerical app servers behind them though, so I'm not sure where MS would come down on that basis.
