What did you think they intended to do after they removed Saddam? Giving the
Iraqis the ability to choose their own future was always a primary
consideration.

It's up to the Iraqi government to do a good enough job to bring people back
to their side. They have been struggling to figure out how to govern
together, that's part of the learning process of becoming a democratic
state. Would you prefer they had an angry strongman dictator to keep a lid
on things?
