No, not at all surprised at only 25 years.

Remember in Episode IV when Leia records a hologram message into R2D2 for
Obi-Wan?
something like "General Kenobi, you served with my father in the Clone Wars".

So, if Leia looks like she is in her mid-twenties at the time of Episode
IV, and was separated from her parents at a young enough age to not
remember her mother, it couldn't bee that many years.
