How many users? You can have up to 200 for free. > For one, we use distribution lists which, as I understand, would need > to be set up as individual users. This is one of the biggest drawbacks to GMail. You can create an Email Group that is a distribution list, but the default reply to is the sender, not the list and there is no way to change that AFAIK. > In addition, we make heavy use of > public folders, including shared contacts, calendars and mail items. > Lastly, everyone here is used to using Outlook 07. I am pretty sure you can have company address book, though I haven't used it and I suspect you can't use Outlook to manage it. You can definitely share calendars with others, but I haven't tried it in Outlook. Using the web interface it works very well though. > I have seen "hosted exchange services" offered but have never looked > into them. Does anyone use them? I used a hosted Exchange service for awhile, but realized that GMail really did everything I needed, though after initial resistance, I was very willing to give up Outlook. Today I don't miss it one bit. Have you tried this out? http://www.google.com/apps/intl/en/business/outlook_sync.html Sorry I don't have any more advice beyond Google, which I know you were looking for alternatives, but it's worth looking at... -Cameron ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Order the Adobe Coldfusion Anthology now! http://www.amazon.com/Adobe-Coldfusion-Anthology/dp/1430272155/?tag=houseoffusion Archive: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/cf-community/message.cfm/messageid:333677 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/cf-community/subscribe.cfm Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/cf-community/unsubscribe.cfm
