We're looking at moving away from our current email solution - on-site Exchange 2003 with an off-site Anti-Virus/Anti-Spam solution that also holds emails in case our internet connection goes down. We have allocated the per-user fee to migrate to Google Apps but the more I look the less comfortable I am with certain issues.
For one, we use distribution lists which, as I understand, would need to be set up as individual users. In addition, we make heavy use of public folders, including shared contacts, calendars and mail items. Lastly, everyone here is used to using Outlook 07. I have seen "hosted exchange services" offered but have never looked into them. Does anyone use them? Is there something more "outlook" friendly? Are there alternatives to Google Apps that anyone has experience with? Thanks! Until Later! C.
