We're looking at the Google Apps for Business - it's not that
expensive ($50/user/year) and has the "advertised" outlook interop and
Blackberry support.

That would be fine - distribution lists in AD/Exchange are groups of
individuals and have to be "replied to" with an include.  One thing I
may not have said in my reply to Erika is that the lists are one-way,
with messages sent to "benefits@" going to the team and an individual
generally picking up the issue and handling it.

That's what I'm looking at but my concern is what I've heard where
Google Apps to Outlook sync is clumsy - perhaps it's the personal
version that doesn't play nice.
