OT: We actually have a fun family game where we keep track of the words my father uses
in place of actual words, some of my favorites are "Asparagrass", "Charles Swab",
"Baltamic Vinegar". He's 68 so I no longer bother with correcting him. Besides, it's
pretty funny :)

I have a hard time pronouncing words like that as well. It is all about
dialect not intelligence.

Some people associate a different dialect with poor intelligence.

Just like saying Warsh, which I do a lot. And sometime I say nucular
when I mean nuclear, it isn't saying that I am stupid, it is just the
way people around me spoke when I was growing up, I still know how to
spell the word, and what it means.
