I'm torn. I mostly agree with Jerry but also acknowledge the fact that
it is Palin herself who brought the whole thing into the public realm.
She has been far from shy about inserting her family life into the
public debate which does tend to change my opinion on what is fair
game.

Fortunately, in this case, I don't think it matters one way or
another. If she lied about being Trig's mother, so what? I really
don't care. If she runs for President in 2012 though and starts
inserting her family into the discussion though, that might change my
mind. I don't know.
