Legendary comedic actor WC Fields played an obese alcoholic buffoon. In one of his best movies, The Bank Dick, his character was named Egbert Sousé. Fields would say: "pronounced soo-say ... accent grave on the e, eh?". Get it? Souse? (btw, if you're not familiar with French, it's actually an accent aigu ... all part of the fun!) Sousé would bumble around town always spouting off to someone about his opinions. In one classic scene he attempts to give advice to a chauffeur with a broken-down car. Of course, he ends up making things worse. You see? It's part of the joke!
