The broader point is that the US only has 5 buckets to get the dough
to fix our budget problem (and possible save the World economy).

The right mix is easy:

* Business is going to have to pony up - they're sitting on trillions
of cash and they should willing to contribute to help their country.

* Tax the rich. They've got the dough and should be willing to pony
up their share for their country.

* Cut taxes for the middle class, these are the spenders and we need
them to spend. That's the "encouragement" businesses need: consumers
that start spending again. A middle class tax cut (and extension of
unemployment) would do that, plus fix housing values.

* Fix financial sector regulation.Create 3 agencies rather the
hundreds that exist now.

* Fix healthcare for real. There's data that says spending 50% less
on healthcare would improve outcomes (iatrogenics). But whatever,
change medicare and medicaid policy expand medicare advantage.
Mandate integrated healthcare (ACO type model).

* Change SS policy.

* Cut defense.

Done.  Problem solve
