Totally from memory, I remember reading their P&L was pretty good. AFAIK, the royal family's wealth comes from rents due to owning some of the highest value property on the planet (in the center of London). Also, I believe the UK has a split state and executive function with the royal family handling the State function, albeit mostly ceremonial. In other words, PR. Thus the net-net being that the UK has invested interest in the Royal family who provides quite a bit of benefit for very little cost. Seriously, would anyone on this list not pay to party with Harry?
