So Penn State students riot....over the firing of Joe Paterno.

My god that's depressing.

The dude is a legendary coach, I get it. And for some time, he was one
of the most powerful people in the state, let alone the university.
But when presented with evidence that a person in his direct
employment was committing terrible crimes with children all his
response was "I informed my superiors". Didn't go to the police.
Didn't personally investigate the allegations.

And now people are pissed that he is getting fired instead of being
allowed to retire at the end of the season? They are worried about
*his* legacy and dignity?

Some people need to get a sense of perspective.
