conquest in Iraq. Then support to Afghanistan dried up, that included

Let me put it this way, the shrubbery gave Al Queda and the taliban a
huge breathing space and allowed them to set up safe havens in the
tribal regions of Pakistan. If the bush administration had kept the
focus on Afghanistan until the Taliban and allies were completely
crushed, the current situation would never had developed.
