agreed. This is about trying to regulate the internet when you don't freaking understand it. At all, apparently. The MPAA spokesman was totally unconcerned that DNSSEC won't work if they pass the bill. It's a badly-needed security protocol that's been in the works for like sixteen years! Some of the supporters of the Senate bill see no problem whatsoever with using the same technology that China does to block access for their citizens. Just... don't see the issue. We're spending State Department funds to build technologies to keep dictatorships from turning off the internet when an Arab Spring happens, and Congress turns around and tries to outlaw *the same technologies* in the name of making people pay when they watch Disney movies. I think that Disney deserves its fair share, but I am not willing to let the internet turn into AOL@1996 in their name. There are better ways.
