Don't know that I agree with that. If someone has a knife or a bat I am not going to shoot to kill. However I am going to aim at the biggest target, which is there chest and stomach, lest I don't miss. It all depends on the weapon you have. With a shotgun I would aim for their knees know that I pretty much can't miss, however with a handgun it's not as easy, so go for the biggest target.
